The most common mistake psychologists make is to say “I don’t know.”
It’s a huge mistake.
You’re not a doctor, and you don’t have to know everything.
You can do it.
You’ll have a career as a psychologist.
It’s the easiest and most rewarding thing in the world.
Psychologists, especially in the humanities, are really good at thinking about what’s interesting and what’s not.
And there’s a big difference between what’s really interesting and the sort of thing you’re supposed to be doing, like writing a textbook or doing your dissertation.
But psychologists don’t need to be experts on everything.
They can pick and choose.
When you’re in your 20s and early 30s, your career path might not be as straightforward as a doctor.
The first few years you’ll be in your field, you might be teaching a course for someone who’s going to be a professor at some other university.
You might have to learn a lot of things in the first year.
Then you might get a job in a company that’s hiring, or you might have a PhD or a masters degree.
And that’s the time when you get to really figure out what’s valuable and what doesn’t.
What you can do now: You can work in an office setting.
You don’t necessarily need to have a desk and a board of directors.
You just need to know how to get things done.
When I worked as a research psychologist in the U.K., we were very good at being able to get stuff done, and we’d have a group of people sit around a table and do things.
And then we’d make a PowerPoint presentation.
So if you’re a doctor and you’re just a researcher, you can probably do it at home.
What the average psychologist needs to do now is to start reading books.
You should get to the end of your first year, or even the first quarter of your second year, and read books on topics like gender, the brain, neuroscience, or cognitive science.
They’re all good.
You could start with The Psychology of Memory, by the great psychologist Amygdala.
If you’re going to do that, you’ll probably have to pick one of the books that’s been around for a long time.
It’ll be like reading a book about how to learn to play a game.
Then pick one that’s new, and then read it for the first time.
Then take a book on psychology, and pick a book that you know will get you through the next few years.
I’ve always thought of The Neuroscience of Consciousness by neuroscientist and Nobel Prize-winning scientist Steven Pinker as the bible for how to do it in your first two years.
There’s nothing like that in psychology.
You will have to start a journal, start writing a dissertation, and maybe even go to grad school and do a dissertation or two.
What psychologists need to do in their second year: You’ll need to get a lot more experience.
You need to go back and read more books.
And you will need to think about the things that you can learn from psychology, the things you’re not sure you’re able to learn from your previous career.
It will be a good place to start.
If your career doesn’t go as smoothly as you expected, talk to your mentor, and talk to him or her about how you might change things, what you might need to learn, or what you need to make sure you do.
It might take a year or two, but it’s possible.
What other advice would you give to someone who is interested in a career in psychology?
Don’t be afraid to ask.
There are lots of great questions to ask and a lot that can help you understand psychology.
Don’t take it personally.
And don’t just listen to people who want you to be happy.
It can take a while to get your head around the stuff that psychology is.
But if you just stick to it and stick to your own goals, you’re probably going to have success in it.
What I’d really like people to do is talk to their professors, to their supervisors, to colleagues.
It doesn’t have a lot to do with your job.
I know many people who really struggled with this and just started asking questions about what they’re doing.
And it’s really helpful to know where you’re coming from and where you think you’re at.
If they’re happy with where you are and you can ask them what they like about what you’re doing, they’ll give you a really good sense of what you can expect.
And this is a really useful way to start with.
And the thing that’s really good about the books and the podcasts is that they’re not just about what we think about.
They provide a kind of framework for what’s going on in your head, what your emotions are, what things are important to you. I
