A nail appointment is expected to be a last nail for all nine new federal political appointees announced by the Prime Minister on Thursday.
But the appointment process is expected for one new member of the federal cabinet, who is likely to be confirmed this week, according to the appointment order released by the government.
The appointments process for federal cabinet ministers is expected by mid-July.
The appointment order says only one minister will be confirmed as a cabinet minister during the appointment period, and that cabinet ministers will have their first swearing-in ceremony next Monday.
But a senior government official told CBC News that ministers and cabinet ministers are expected to remain in their posts through mid-August.
The order also states that the cabinet ministers, and other government ministers appointed to cabinet positions, will be sworn in on Aug. 1.
The government says ministers and Cabinet ministers appointed during the previous six months will be appointed by the new appointments committee, which will be formed as the Cabinet is reconvened.
The process for appointing new cabinet ministers and other ministerial staff will also be announced in early September, the government says.
